The omni-directional drive system provides a more natural style of motion, with the same range of mobility as walking. The collision detection and autopilot system used in the concept prototype ensures a safe operation of the robot.
Project Maverick has been developed with a clear objective in mind: to help people with limited disability improve their lives, increase their self-esteem and most important – regain their independence.  My medical research in the mobility and disability topic proved my concept as being beneficial for future users. Going forward, the design was verified in the prototype built as being achievable, economically feasible, and most importantly, easy to be integrated as a new product in today’s market.
Project Maverick has proven that it is a viable mobility aid that can improve people’s lives not only from a functional perspective, but also from an emotional one. Because the worst thing about being disabled is feeling disabled
